Double Wedding Weekend: Barre, MA & Plymouth, MA

A couple weekends ago I had two weddings (one Saturday, one Sunday), and I was a total slacker when it came to taking pictures.

The first wedding was Bob & Amanda who got married at Harding Allen Estate in Barre, MA.  I only did bouquets for this wedding, and I did not take one.single.picture.  Their flowers were white and blue, but a little on the funkier side with some electric blue orchids.  Congrats to Bob and Amanda & please send me pictures if you have some!!

The second wedding was Katelyn & Greg, who had their reception at my favorite restaurant in Plymouth, East Bay Grille.  Seriously - the food is amazing, the view is amazing, and they have Oyster Bay wine - enough said!  The main colors for the wedding were white and turquoise, with fun pops of yellow and pink.

The Bride's bouquet of all white calla lilies with bear grass accents over the top.

The bridesmaids had simple bouquets of yellow and hot pink mokara orchids.

The ceremony flowers were tall sprays of curly willow branches with lots of pink calla lilies in tall tapered vases.  I have to say I met the nicest women when I was setting up the flowers in the church.  She told me she had recently lost her husband and was just praying while I set up.  When I was almost finished she came up to me and said how lovely they looked and how happy she was just to have someone to talk to for a while.  She made my day :)

The centerpieces were a mix of white and yellow cymbidium orchids submerged in a tall cylinder vase with turquoise gems at the bottom... this is where my slacking kicked in again, and I forgot to take pictures!  They did look very similar to the centerpieces at Katelyn and Kyle's wedding, which you can check out here.  Congrats to Katelyn & Greg!!

Jess & Joe: Ridge Club, Cape Cod Wedding

I met Jess and Joe at a St Patty's day party in Southie a couple years ago, and was so excited they asked me to do the flowers for their wedding.  I've been friends with Jess' sister Heidi for several years now, and I just love the whole Miller family!  Jess' favorite flowers are daisies and gerbera daisies, so those were definitely the main flowers for this wedding, mixed with lots of blue hydrangea to bring in that Cape Cod wedding feel!

Bride's bouquet of hydrangea, daisies, and gerbera daisies.
MOH Bouquet of hydrangea and gerbera daisies.
Bridesmaid bouquets of gerbera daisies.
The centerpieces were a mix of two styles.  Half were a mix of hydrangea, sunflowers, gerberas, daisies and dahlias, while the others were a trio of vases of hydrangea, daisies and gerbera daisies.
Of course I forgot my camera so these are the only pictures I have of the centerpieces.
Ceremony arrangements made up of delphinium, hydrangea, gerberas, sunflowers, daisies, and dahlias.

Congrats Jess & Joe!

Molly & Dave: Backyard Duxbury Wedding

Molly and Dave got married at St. John's, followed by a back yard reception in Duxbury, MA.  Molly and Dave stayed in China for a period of time, and wanted to incorporate that into their wedding, but also keep with the back yard, home-town wedding feel.  They collected a variety of Chinese vases, urns and small containers to use for the ceremony and reception flowers.

I had to post two pictures of Molly's bouquet because I was SO EXCITED we were able to get peonies  in July!  Her bouquet was made up of peonies, garden roses, hydrangea, berries and thistle.  The bouquet was wrapped in a an embroidered piece of the bride's dress, and an old piece of lace from the groom's family was pinned on the back.
The bridesmaids carried bouquets of blue, white, and green hydrangea with hypericum berries.
The ceremony flowers included blue, white, and green hydrangea, bells of Ireland, delphinium, and queen anne's lace.

The centerpieces were made up of hydrangea, roses, lisianthus, hypericum berries, queen anne's lace, and accent greens.

The reception was made up of a mix of round and rectangle tables.  The round tables had one larger arrangement, while the rectangle tables had multiple arrangements.
I loved these rustic tables mixed with the weathered chiavari chairs from
Jessica Tyler from Lavishly Dunn did a fabulous job coordinating this beautiful wedding, regardless of the fact that it was 95 degrees out the day of this wedding!!

I recently received a thank you note from Molly, and just want to say how much I appreciate her kind words and what a pleasure it was to work with her and her mom over the past few months.  It is such a joy to be able to do something I love to do, but to also know how happy I made someone by doing what I love, is amazing!   Thank you and best wishes Molly & Dave!

Nikki & Joe: Omni Parker House Hotel

I loved working with Nikki and Joe.  They were such an easy going couple and totally focused on the big picture (you know, having a great time at your wedding and spending the rest of your lives together?!).  They gave me a color scheme whites and light pink, and an overall style and feel that they were looking to achieve.

Bride's bouquet of roses, peonies, ranunculus, hydrangea, calla lilies stock, and spray roses.
Bridesmaid bouquets of peonies, sweet pea, ranunculus, roses and spray roses.

Centerpieces of peonies, roses, orchids, hydrangea, spray roses, stock, ranunculus and greens.

The flowers were complimented by 3 pedestal candle holders with floating candles.

Cocktail hour tables had a martini glass with a floating orchid in each.
Ceremony flowers were made up of large sprays of hybrid delphinium, snapdragons, stock and orchids.
Guest book table arrangement of hydrangea, snapdragons, stock, calla lilies and roses.

Thank you Nikki and Joe for being so easy to work with; it was such a pleasure!  I also want to thank the staff and kitchen guys at the Omni Parker House that let us borrow their carts, hog the tiny elevator, and cut through their busy kitchen so many times!

Katelyn & Kyle: UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center

Of course it's only July and I've already fallen behind on my blog updates!  I have to thank my mom for       spreading my name around to all the brides-to-be at Lowell General Hospital, because this is how I met Katelyn.  Katelyn was such a sweet bride to work with, and she came up with such a fun summer color scheme for her and her bridesmaid's bouquets.

When discussing the flowers for the bouquets, Katelyn asked that each bouquet have a single yellow daffodil in it to honor their friend who had passed away.  Because daffodils are not available in June, we decided to use a single yellow calla lily in each bouquet.  I was truly honored to create something that had such a special meaning behind it.

The bride's bouquet was made up of peonies, roses, calla lilies, hydrangea, button poms and iris.
The MOH bouquet had hot pink roses to stand out from the rest of the bridesmaid bouquets.
The bridesmaids carried roses, hydrangea, calla lilies, and button poms in a citrus color scheme.

The centerpieces were simple and elegant, made up of one submerged stem of white cymbidium orchids with a floating candle on top.

Colorful arrangements were placed on the altar at the church, and also on the card table at the reception.

Katelyn and Kyle, thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!
